Youth Club Celebration

This event was a great success

Thanks to everyone who made such a fantastic effort to set up, welcome and feed the people who attended the reunion. It was a magnificent effort and a wonderful event. There are lots of photos floating around on the internet. If you have any, please email to Catherine and she will create a collection for the website.

MESSAGE FROM GUESTS: Ruth and Peter Watkins sent this message. “Will you please thank everyone involved in making last weekend such a lovely occasion. I know how much work goes into making such an event a success. It was wonderful to come "home” to have a time of remembering of days long gone. For me it was where my growing up happened and my spiritual growth was nurtured. I spent most of my life up to the age of 18 in that building and many hours afterwards, lifelong friendships were formed and the hands that guided me then still do. Thank you from Ruth and Peter.”

Reunion – keep the date

  and spread the word

When Saturday 9th May 2015, 4.30 – 9 pm (ish!)

WhereSouth Harrow Methodist Church, Walton Ave

What - Mix ‘n Meet, a meal and an act of Celebration Worship

We are hoping for more than 100 attendees, who will be a mix of ages and have been part of the church youth club over the years.

Please spread the word and let anyone you know who has been involved with the youth club at South Harrow about the event

On Saturday 9th May, at South Harrow Methodist Church, there will be a grand reunion of past members from the 1960s onwards. It would be fantastic of you could come and if you could let other people know about it, if you are still in touch with them.

The plan is to start around 4.30 with a 'mingle and mix' to catch up with each other and to share photos and memorabilia. Then there will be a buffet tea followed by worship in the church led by ex MAYC President Mark Wakelin. We should finish around 9 with tea and coffee, but the timings are open, depending on how much catching up there is to do!

It's a wonderful opportunity to get together, catch up and celebrate and there should be at least a hundred people there of all ages. Please come and join the celebration and bring any memories and photos you have.

If you are able to come, please drop an email to Peter Wells (pwells150@gmail.com) or Claire (claire.kentish@harrow.gov.uk) so we know how much food to provide.
